Driver side window sticking

Recommended Posts

Posted

I have a 1998 sierra 1500 ext cab.

When the outside temperate is up the driverside window does not want to roll down. I have electric windows and locks. If the temp is lower the window will rolldown. I never really know when the windows will work or not. I would think the rocker switch in the door arm, but it is odd since the temp affect the workability.

Anyone have or know of this issue?

thanks

I have a very similiar problem with my 97 ....drivers side electric window....is there a way to lube up the regulator track???? this question needs an answer ???

as in...it "tries" to go down, but won't or acts like there's no power to it at all...could be a slight electrical connection problem if it's temperature related...check the switch connections and wires to the motor....

My window moves up or down about 3-4 inches then stops... It will not move for several minutes....then later if I try it it moves another few inches. I have found if I try to raise or lower the window with my hand while at the same time pushing th button it will go all the way up or down but only if you use your muscles to help it move. I have it apart now so I sprayed some wd40 in the regulator track and it did not seem to make any difference...my wiring and connections seem t be fine. I may need a new electric motor???how do I know what I need?

thnk you

Brett
