Facory XM sound quality

Anyone else notice that the factory XM, just doesn't have very good signal quality/dynamic range/sn ratio etc.? I much prefer listening to my CDX.

 

I wonder if there is a better solution using something else that doesn't require and aftermarket HU, love the factory Nav HU.

I think my factory XM sounds pretty good- usually on par with my CDs anyway, and much better than FM / AM. But I'll admit I don't have the best ear..

I wonder if the cdx sounds better that the HU cd players? Maybe a better pass through signal or such.
