05 Crew Buckets & Console mod

I have an 05 Silverado DuraMax 2500HD with 40/20/40 seats and I want to put buckets and full console instead. Has anyone done this yet. Any idea where I can find some with the dark gray color?. any advice?.

Look at your local auto parts recycling store (junk yard) for the parts you need. Another possibility would be Ebay but I would think shipping costs would be a killer.

Hey if you find somewhere special to buy seat accessories for our trucks let me know, please post a link. I have the reg cab with the bench, the frigin center backrest doesnt hinge down so i have nothing to lean my elbow on as i drive, im looking to hinge that somehow, thx.

I have the same problem w/ my 6.0 center backrest is stationary This was a stupid flaw that should have never left the drawing board. The least they could have done was put a fold down arm rest built into the backrest. Been thinking about taking that whole seat portion out, but does anyone know if a center console from another chevy truck would fit in its place ?????

The fold down center seat/console will fit right in and replace the non-folding one.

The only problem is that the fabric is different. there is no folding seat with the same fabric as the base level seats.

Oh really? I would just basically unbolt the original backrest and a diferent one from a silverado would fit right in? What fabric would the hinged one be?

You have to take the whole center seat/ console and replace the non folding one not just the backrest. The texture and color of the fabric is what is different on the seats. The base level seats had more of a tweed type fabric and they didn't use that same fabric on the LS level seats. the Fabric is the LS's was more of a velour type material.
