Torquing out the Torsion Bar

Is there any draw back to torquing the torsion bar nut to raise the truck? Need to do that to clear the bigger tires, but will it create other suspension issues? Will the ball joints on the upper or lower control arm go bad sooner than normal?

You can go 1.5", a little more, on you 4x4 with no ill effects.

 

More can bind your fronts cvs, and a bunch more will kill the ride..
