Gas Guage

Hey. My 2000 GMC gas gage goes from full to empty, or vice versa and never ever gives me an accurate reading. It keeps jumping and I dont know what it is. I have to go by kms so my truck doesnt run out of gas.

this is what you need Fuel gauge sending unit part # 25314460 price from gm is 149.36

 

you will need to raise the bed up on the drivers side front corner to get to the fuel tank <--easy way or the hard way lowwer the tanks down, then take out the fuel pump and replace the level sender on it

There is a fuel module wiring recall in the works, but it only applies to a very narrow range of vehicles... I think only Suburbans, but don't quote me on that. I don't remember exact details because the recall has not begun yet.
