American Racing on Stock Tires

I want to run 17 inch American Racing Wheels on the stock Z71 tires for a 2005 but eventually I will move to 35 inch tires when i lift it will the wheels fit both tires or will the backspacing be different

The factory wheels are like a 5 off or something like that. When I went lookign afor wheels for my truck (2005 with 17" wheels as well) I ran across very few wheels with the same offset as the factory wheels. The wheels I settled on have about 1.5" less off set and thus stick out about that much further. I also went with 16" wheels instead because of pricing and availability of tires sizes.
