It won't stop locking

Here it goes. fron 7:00 am to 12 in the afternoon my boss, two other guys, and I ride around in a truck checking cotton fields. We are constantly getting out to check the fields. Well he just upgraded from 2000 z71 1500 ecsb (with 195,000 miles) to a 2005 z71 ccsb 1500. Well the doors lock automatically once you reach so many mph like most of you know. In our situation this in very bothersome. is there a sequence of actions one could do to fix this, ex. (push the brake, put the left blinker on, rotate engine 360 degrees, yad, yad, yad). This is really bothering the crap out of my boss mostly and he keeps nagging me ever since I told him I'm on this site alot and that you guy and gals could maybe help me. thanks in advance

On my 04 you can set it up through the DIC. I know that GM deleted some of the fetures in the DIC on the 05's but it worth a try.

GM took away the ability to disable the automatic locks on 2005. Only way to get rid of it is to take away the power locks through removing a fuse.

WHAT?!?!!?! Un freakin believable. Gotta love GM... Why would they take that option away? This is the exact example of why people need it...even though the doors unlock when you put it in park it is still a pain in the A** if you are constantly getting in and out. Sometimes you go to open the door as you are putting it in park and you pull the handle as the door is unlocking and it doesn't work...what a mess.

Hopefully someone else on this site knows a way to do it!

How is the lock mechanism set up? Is there a wire from the cpu going to the lock switch telling the switch to lock/unlock then another wire going to solinoid (sp) unlocking/locking the door. If so then I might snoop around there and see if I can find anything out.
