i just did the install with the soundgate kngm1-v7 with the sir-ken1 into my 2003 tahoe with the in-dash 6 disk changer. my radio has the band button like instructions say so it should work. but after install it doesnt work. its supposed to go sir1, sir2, fm1, fm2, am with the band button. i dont get sir1 or sir2. im clueless with auto wiring and i probably have it wired wrong. im supposed to have the soundgate powered with 12 volt constant and ground. thats it. i used what i think is a ground wire in the big plug going in the back of my radio and a power wire on one of my cigirete lighters. can anyone tell me what color wire in the back of the radio i should use as a ground and what color wire on the lighter i should use as power. im lost. thanks

My Sirius shows up as XM1 and XM2.

I grounded my soundgate to a bolt by the parking brake - 12v+ tapped from cig plug.

If you had XM - make sure it's disconnected.

success!! :seeya: i had a bad power connection. :sigh: so far so good. it is kinda slow to change channels and i hav'nt figured out how to go directly to a channel or if you can even do it. only 1 or 2 comes up on display for the band, not sir 1 or xm1. the channel name is on the display. if you want artist or song title you have to hit recall button. it doesnt have all the features of my pnp2 in my truck but like having the factory look so i'll deal with its limitations. thanks.

It is slow..... very slow.

and there are definitely limitations - but I couldn't deal with FM modulation or the PNP unit flying every time I turned a crazy corner
