Is it worth it?

I am looking at doing the whole nav system upgrade and I am curious, Is it worth it to switch to the lux system with touchscreen or just go with the plug and play non lux? I have been able to find everything i would need to do the lux except for the amp which nobody seems to have. What is your take and if anybody happens to know any secret hiding hole where someone has a lux amp, please let me know. thanks.

I'm just getting in all my parts for the Lux conversion on an 05 Yukon XL. Some say there is a pretty big difference - maybe enough to keep from going the add on amp route (except maybe sub) I hope.

 

I found the amp at GMpartsdirect.com. I had part number 15114454 which is a newer number than listed in some of the posts. JPcustoms also has it, not on their web site but call or email.

 

I'm looking now for the best video and audio aux inputs. The audio seems the hardest to get the DVD in and an Ipod with radio/steering wheel controls. The Ipod adaptor from Pac seems to be stand alone and will take the place of XM. I'm keeping XM and the 6 disk remote changer with the TNR head unit.
