3/4 ton Yukon XL/Suburban muffler

My Yukon XL with the 8.1L is way too quiet, and I've been looking for ways to open things up a bit. Under the truck, there really isn't much room for serious rework, keeping everything up in the frame, and not below, with the ladder frame, fuel tanks, and the two cats, staggered, one on the pipe from each side. I have dual 3" in, and dual 3" out of a large oval profile muffler, about 28" long.

This Magnaflow, the 12599, seems to be a nearly direct replacement for the factory muffler.

Has anybody used this muffler, and if I do, will it sound like the big block I bought? I want to have a rumbly idle, a reasonable cruise, and big block roar at WOT :( I love the motor and the XL, but there is so much more in there, I need to let it out.

Just curious about your experience with the exhaust on this vehicle, or the muffler itself. What worries me is Magnaflow's description of the muffler as "These mufflers provide maximum flow and sound suppression." I'm worried about the sound supression part (I can't believe how quiet the factory setup is) and I want the maximum flow.

Thanks for your suggestions...

I put a Magnaflow on my 2000 3/4 ton w/ 6.0l. I don't know the model #. I am pretty happy with it. It is not terrible loud (which I don't want). There is a bit of drone at lower rpm. But WOT is pretty impressive. The muffler shop that put mine on said the Flowmaster was louder, the Magnaflow a little less restrictive. I opted for the Magnaflow for performance and mpg boost.
