Air Conditioner Engine misses

97 GMC 2500 5.7 liter full size pickup truck

 

Engine misses at low speed when A/C is turned on. Seems OK at hight speeds.

Any suggestions?

Define "low speed" and "high speed". Does it do it at idle speed? Are you sure it's not the normal A/C cycling on and off?

At idle speed with the A/C turned on the engine misses. Not the A/C turning on and off.

Above idle speed engines run OK. Highway driving i can not detect a miss.

If the A/C isn't turn on the engine run OK at all speeds. There is no check engine light. Hope this helps.

I test drove the truck today. It's an Automatic. Transmission in Park or neutral

with A/C on engine sound Ok. Driving the truck with transmission in Drive and A/C on,

engine misses at stop lights, engine idling. As soon as it come off idle missing stops.

 

Hopefully i gave u all the information this time. Should have paid attention first time.
