gasket failure?

I put in some gibson 129s headers on my truck. When I was retorquing I stripped one of the header bolts. I fixed it with a helacoil, but used a new stock replacement gasket instead of a replacement gasket that gibson sends. So one side has the gibson gasket and the other the OEM gasket. Will this cause gaske failure?

what I should have said, are the gibson gaskets going to cause the bolts to back out quicker than the OEM?

The headers will cause the bolts to come out by themselves. Gaskets should be okay. Look on summtracing.com for locking header bolts.

i have gibson headers and i used the stock gaskets. metal gaskets are better!

The gasket shouldn't fail,but with headers anything is possiable.I always cut the header flange in between each port.Soak the paper gasket overnight,install it wet and keep them tight!I have a set of those copper gaskets to go on my Elcamino,haven't used them yet.I'm going to take the headers off and go back to exhaust manifolds.
