Looks good. How did you do it.

Yeah, what's up with that?  Is it real?  It sure looks like it is.  I love it.

No photoshop there.  That's the real deal.  Now, I know everyone's going to want one now.  Here's how I did it:

I had ordered an extra bowtie for my truck w/ the intentions of painting it red.  But, I realized I'd have an extra one so I ordered an american flag sticker online that was about 9" across.  I cut it out a lil' bigger than the bowtie and carefully put it on folding it over the edges.  Than just popped the existing one off and putting that one on.  All in all it took about 1/2 hour.

Also, I painted up my other bowtie red.  I've got to say it looks pretty good, just don't know when I'll switch them.  But if I do I'll hold onto the american flag bowtie for 4th of july.

If anyone is interested in them I could make them and sell them to you.  I would need numbers on who wants them to order the emblems and the stickers.  But, I'm guessing pricewise it would be about 30 plus shipping.

That looks great! I'm sure you could sell them. Unfortunately I can't use it on the GMC.

I bet I could do it on a GMC, it would just take a lil' more work

Wow, looks great.  Did you send the idea over to GM?  Bet in this time of increased patriotism either they or a dealer might want a piece of this action.  Wait!  Skip GM and go right to the dealers...Bet they would eat that up.  Just drive up in your truck all shiny and washed.  Ask to speak with the General Manager and bring him/her out to see what you did.  If the blue ovals come off of the Fords I'd imagine they could be done as well.

I was trying to get my company to go for the idea to do it to there fleet trucks and vans (about 70 vans and 15 trucks) they didn't go for it though.  I'll send GM an email and see what they think.  I'd try my local dealer, but they don't like me because I don't sit by quietly while they do a bad job fixing the truck.
