Took the truck in to get a recall vin check - advised came up nothing on my vehicle

 

So I explain to them about this problem I just started having with the steering shaft being loose and not feeling right. I continue to describe the problem and I advised him I heard that it just needs to be greased and the guy said

 

" If We Grease Them It Will only last 5 - 7 months then you'll be right back in here GM has a new design on the steering shaft and we can install it for you." So I ask how much and he said around $170

 

I advised him my truck was just out of warranty - 37,500 miles he said I think I can take care of you and I say to him

 

Don't want to tell you to fix it then charge me the money to fix it

 

He said I can take care of you and I say great

 

They fix it and in 5 hours they call back saying my truck is ready and I go get it and all looseness feel is gone and it drives like the first day I got it - I go get my receipt and I owed $0.00

 

THEY EVEN WASHED MY TRUCK FOR ME

Glad to hear a good story to offset some of the bad. Unfortunately, my luck is about 3 to 1 ... menaing 3 horrible dealers to 1 decent one. I've gotten a little tight with a local Chevy dealer because I buy many oem parts there. I can get better pricing online but many times GM has 2 or 3 different parts listed and it is not always right when it arrives. Dealing with a local guy means I eventually get the right part with less hassle and the price get's lower every time they send the wrong thing
