Air Induction kits?

Is there a site where tests that have been done by a magazine, independent of the manufacturer,will tell the results from a changed air intake system? :plainsmile:

I've been looking for a while.  I can't find anything.    You would think as popular as they are, some magazine would take it upon themselves to do testing.

Actually, there was a post at p-a.com a while back where some mag did do this.  I think it was with Airaid, K&N, Volant and maybe one other one.  It turned out that the K&N intake produced the most, albeit not as much as advertised hp.  It was somewhere around 8-10 hp increase, I think.  I think Volant had the least amount of increase(maybe 4-5 hp).

Lately though, I've been reading alot of negativity regarding the K&N filters and their intake systems.  Sure you can buy an additional wrap for the K&N filter to trap more dust and whatnot for offroading, but doesn't that pretty much take away any benefit of an aftermarket intake system?

I'm still searching for the best one.  I haven't found it yet.
