help with 6 disc install xm question

installing a 6 disc indash gm unit into a 04 silverado that came with a single disc and has xm , when installing the new unit , will my xm work the same or does the new unit have a new xm code ? basically after i get it programmed at the dealer , will the xm work as normal or do i have a new xm code and have to call and get it switched ?

You will be good to go as long as the new unit came from a truck or suv (not a car) and then the dealer can program the proper codes into it including the xm!
