I have a Westers tune in my Silverado and I am very happy with it. I am considering it for my '04 Suburban with the flex-fuel 5.3 engine. My question is, with a 89-91 dual tune, will I still be able to run E-85 if I choose to and will the performance increases be proportional with E-85 vs. regular 89 or 91 oct. gasoline?

Thanks! :dupe:

Yes and Yes. I ran E85 with my 89-91 tune and with my 93 Hot tune. Runs great. I asked westers and they said E85 was still fine to use. Might want to tell them to keep E85 in there. Not sure if they do something different if you don't run E85 but I know they can give you a kick butt tune and still use E85. I've done it and I'm very happy with it.

Westers said that the new series truck with DOD has been toyed with, but no solid

feedback as yet...the DOD section is left alone, although there are separate

DOD timing tables.

Which trucks have DOD?

I believe alot of the '06 models are starting to get displacement on demand. Haven't seen on '05s come in with it yet.
