Just Ordered New Tires

I just couldn't stand looking at my new Dmax sitting on those puny 245's anymore so I went ahead and placed the order tonight. I've only got 3400 miles on the stock tires, but they just have to come off....

I'm putting 265/75/16's with a load range "E" on the truck.

The Revo's have gotten great reviews by our members and people all over the net, and since they have a $75.00 Rebate, I figured I give them a try... I should have them on the truck next week sometime!!!

I couldn't be happyer with mine. Well I guess I could. You know if they did something like doubled my fuel mileage, LOL. Great tire and good size for the HD. I have a black truck and run with the outline white letters out and everyone likes.

I plan to run with OWL out too...

I think that Outlined White Letters are much sharper looking than a solid white letter... (personal opinion)

I probably could have gone with a "D" load range because it would have about the same capacity as my stock tires, but I put Michelin LTX M/S "E" tires on my last truck and they were great!!! I would have bought the LTX's again, but the rebate/price for the Revo's swayed me...

What kind of $ are we talking about for 4?

I ordered them from "Tire Rack" and the delivered price was $698.89. You can then subtract the $75.00 rebate from that price. By ordering online I avoided my sales tax and all the other tire taxes... (My local Bridgestone dealer quoted me $200.00 ea. plus tax and mounting).

I'll take them to my local Super Walmart and have them mounted for about $40.00.

Man, I hate to be a piss in the mud - But my Revos SUCK BAD! They're the worst tire I've ever run. I bought them because of their solid rep and great reviews but now I'm wishing I would have stuck with Toyos. I'm running the 265/75s E' on OEM 16X7" steelies (from a 3500SRW). They have not been balanced since day one & I have tried everything! Even took the truck back to the dealer to have the wheels checked. Nope, it's the tires. At 45 to 50 mph, I get a bad vibration that is definitely coming from the tires. Over 50, I'll admit that they're smooth as glass. I even had Firestone replace the tires with a new set of four under warranty & ended up taking the truck back twice because they weren't balancing right either. Maybe I just got a bad couple of production runs :chevy: Anyway, I'm going to Discount Tire next week to see if they can get them to balance. Oh well.... Sorry to vent. Like I said, I probably just got a couple of bunk sets. Just thought I'd pass along my experience.

FWIW - The tires look great, they're pretty quiet and the wet traction is pretty solid. I sort of doubt their off road ability though - just from the couple of times I've gotten into some of the tougher stuff.

An inbalanced tire will not smooth out at higher speeds, it's a cumulative effect. The faster you go, the worse it gets. You're getting vibrations at very specific speeds? That sounds more like a u-joint or driveline problem than a tire issue.

That sucks. Here I was convinced that it was my tires. I better watch my back when I go near the Firestone shop as I'm pretty sure the manager has put a hit out on me at this point.

Oh, don't take my word as gospel. There may very well be some bizarro problem with your tires. But with the brief description you gave, it sounds more like u-joints. Go have somebody take look at it. :chevy:

They will fit on the stock rims no problem?

They will be fine... Bridgestone recommends a 7"-8" rim width. I believe the stock alloy rim is 16x7. (correct me if I'm wrong)

Your rim width should be on the door sticker with the tire info, for the 2500HD aluminum rims I believe it's 6.5 in.

You are correct! I just checked and the stock rim is 6.5". Thankyou...

I guess I'll be slightly under what Bridgestone recommends. :chevy:
