Power Steering Pump Pulley Shaft

I have a 2001 Silverado 1500 2wd with a 4.8. I recently replace the power steering pump. While pressing in the pulley, the threaded installer tool stripped. It felt like it was literally pulled out from the press. I need to know what the inner thread is so I can use the correct tap to rethread and the corresponding die for the bolt. I have a 1/4 " to go to finish, and it seems like it won't go any further. Any help would be great since running it in the current position is causing the fan to wobble and the belt to squeak. Or so a mechanic told me. Any help would be great.

I can look at our tool when I get to work tomorrow. Off-hand, I have no idea what the thread is. The fact that it is built in Canada has nothing to do with the abundance of metric fasteners. It's just a route GM decided to go many years ago. There's still the occasional, standard american type thread to be found here and there.

Yeah, the pulley not being flush with the shaft will set up a helluva belt squeak. I don't see that causing a fan wobble though.
