Where is the Ignition Sense Wire

I have installed a Motorola IHF1000 Bluetooth Hands free kit. However I can not find a suitable place to connect the ignition power lead for the kit. I have an ’03 GMC, can anyone tell me the appropriate wire in the dash or in the console to tap for this function.

 

Everything is installed and working because I connected the ignition wire to a constant hot. This is not acceptable long term because it leaves the kit powered on and lit up all the time. I know this was acceptable in the old kits but not for this one.

 

Update: I just used a fuse tap and taped it into the ignition fuse. Done!

 

It rocks! TNC Nav, XM, OnStar, Bluetooth, and steering wheel controls all integrated and working seamlessly. The Bluetooth hands free kit now mutes my radio and plays my conversation over the front speakers of my truck.

Can you tell me which wires to tap into on the back of the headunit for this function? I have a similar setup, but I'm having to use the speaker that came with the kit.

A good power source to use is for the windshield wipers in the fuse box. The power operates off of the ignition.

How did you connect the yellow, orange and blue wires with the kit to mute and play over vehicle speakers. I am considering installing in a 2003 Envoy with Onstar and would appreciate whatever information you can provide.
