Is there in problem with going from a 16x6.5 to a 16x7 ? want to take the factory wheels of and put some aftermarket wheels on for winter there a lot cheaper then going with the factory steel wheel , like $70 vs $50 there just the black wheel with the dimond cut outs kind of like the old wagon wheel. thanks and i know this is kind of a dumb ? !!

A 16x7 will be OK. The only variables will be the offset and the size of tires you will be running for the winter.

My friend put 16x8 rims on his HD and is running 265/75/16 tires and had to do a little trimming to his inner fender due to rubbing problems. His new rims have a little too much offset.

thanks shaners i thought it would be ok but with these rigs nowadays you never know ! i plan on putting some cooper winter tires size LT 245/75/16 so i'm sticking with the same size that came on the truck just was woundering if it would offset it to much or hit anything i really don't want to trim anything at this time or have it rub on the inside of the wheelwell these are just the black daytona wheels i think they call them ? anyhow thanks ! :flag:

Superman TNT i'm getting the cooper discovery weather master m/s everybody around here like's them alot and it seem's like they are getting to be the only tire dealers carey anyhow i'm not going to stud them , and the rims, if i can't find used and so far nobody has any , i guess i'll go with the black daytona wheels they have a set at the local tire warehouse and seem's to be the best deal .
