clanking noise on upshift

New 2005 4x4 makes a clanking noise occaisionally which seems to be coming from front midsection of the truck during a 2nd to 3rd upshift under light throttle acceleration. The noise isn't there under normal or heavy acceleration. Is this normal or should I take it in to the dealer for warranty?

My 03 has been doing that since new. It's sounds like you may have the famous GM 2-3,3-2 clunk. Sometimes it annoys me enough that I drive the truck hard so I don't have to listen to it. I hoped that they had fixed this by now. If this is infact what your truck has, don't be alarmed. GM is aware of it and swears that it is okay and normal.
