Part Number Question

I just bought a 2003 Yukon GMC with 4WD. I found a part lying in the front footwell. The part is small black plastic and looks like a holster of some sort. Can you tell me what it is? It is stamped 836692.

A picture would help. Numbers cast in parts are usually not part numbers.

 

If I had to guess, I'd say it's a little cover that goes over the end of the seat track where it mounts to the floor.
