4x4 vibration

I have a floor mounted shifter for my 4x4. The other day while using 4 wheel drive this horrible vibrating noise came from the floor shifter im lost is this normal for it to have odd noises

Well it sounded a bit like the shifter vibrating and hitting the panel on the floor, but it would come and go. Either way it's horrible when it's around. maybe i'll go have it looked at next time i drive 3 hours into the city

Are you sure you're getting it fully engaged ? Also, has it been awhile since you've used the 4X4 ?

Yup been awhile and its fully engaged ???????? just dont know whats wrong
