FRONT BUMPER REPLACEMENT

Recommended Posts

Looking for a HEAVY DUTY type of front bumper. I personally don't like the lower front air dam and with these new style bumpers and it looks like a DORK with the air dam removed. Would like some type of an OUTBACK style with a winch mount. Thanks again!

I was going to put that Ranch Hand on my truck but they said that it would lower my truck alot and the front ends on the 1500's couldn't handle that kind of weight.  ??? Anyone else heard this?

If the extra weight of the bumper were to create a problem for the stock torsion bars you could always replace them with a heavier bar.  Jon (AKA Chevy4x4trucks) has the bars listed on his site I think, and actually I don't think they are really too expensive...

Y2KZ71 (John) had one on his 1500 at one time.  I don't know if he changed t-bars or not though.  Looks pretty tough to me.

You're right Tom, That front end looks awesome!!!

I have one on my 2002 3/4 ton HD.  I got the full replacement and love it.  It seems pretty sturdy.

I thought it would lower the front end alot more.  But it only lowered it 1/4 inch.  I believe it weighs about 300lbs.

I think Y2KZ71 was looking for some higher rater t-bars at one time, but not sure if he got them or not.  Also, if I remember correctly, he removed it because his insurance was giving him some problems about it.  I think because it was because it was so "heavy duty" and sure to destroy what ever it hit, if he was misfortunate enough to be in an accident.   ???

Somthing that may be worth looking into.
