My DIC Is Too Bright

I recently bought a Silverado SS guage cluster for my '04 Silverado 2500, had the mileage programmed in, and now it seems like the lighting for the guages is not as bright as it was in my black faced guage cluster. When I adjust the DIC to a comfortable level, the guage lighting seems too dim. Can the BCM be programmed to raise the level of the guage lights without affecting the DIC brightness since the radio and other instruments match that light level? If the DIC light level is dimmed, I won't be able to read the guages in daytime when the headlights are on. (There are roads that I travel that require the headlights to be on during the daytime).
