1995 4x2 C1500 brake problems

I am getting a bumping noise and a little gringing at low speeds. This stops when I lightly apply the brakes so I figure it has to be in the brakes. After reading I thought it was the ABS speed sensor. I pulled the ABS fuse last night to see if it made a difference and it is still making the noise. Where is the speed sensor located. I may try to clean it to see if that helps. It is driving me nuts. Any help would be appreciated.

If you're sure you disabled the ABS and the noise still occurs, looking at one of the ABS sensors would be pointless I believe. The ABS is the only thing that would respond to a wheel speed sensor.

If you have the 3-sensor system, the rear sensor is really just the vehicle speed sensor that operates your speedometer, among other things. You can find the front sensors by finding the wires that go to each wheel and just following it to where it ends at the wheel.

I checked and did not see any wires that run to the front wheels. Does the 95 C1500 have front ABS? It sounds like the caliper is not holding the pads against the rotor and they are making a bumping and grinding noise. It stops when I apply a little pressure to the brake pedal.

I don't recall RWAL (rear wheel anti-lock) being available in '95, only 4 wheel.
