tornado fuel saver

I bought one back when the gas prices had really spiked (not that they're not up now!). I have not seen any noticeable difference in mileage. With the cost of the Tornado I would not suggest you spend the money!

Maybe the new Hybrid Silverado could do you some good?! Just joking I would not waste your money on that either from what I have heard!!

I have heard in some cases it actually gets worse. It might be helpful if you have the right car and live in a place with ZERO inclines, but dont waste your money. I would not do it especially here in WV.

On fuel injected (dry) systems its useless but on carburetor (wet) systems it may help to atomize the fuel. FI engines have the injector pointed at the hot intake valve and that helps to atomize thew fuel.

Was young and dumb enough once to try that. On a 95 k1500, it did help my mileage!!! See when you take about $80 out of your wallet, and drive with your head up your a$$, you seem to use less fuel....

Those this suck. You buy it and all you got is an ugly-a$$ paperweight. Don't waste your time and money as I once did.

Popular Mechanics did an article about several fuel saving devices last year, including the Toranado. Bottom line after their test was that the Tornado only caused a lot of turbulence in the air intake, and did nothing to help mileage. Also, it decreased the peak horsepower by over 10%.

Like others have said before, the best way to increase your mileage is simple maintenance, like keeping your tires properly inflated, and easing up on the gas a little.

I bought a general deal similar to the Torando off eBay. Paid $12 for it I think. I installed it with a K&N in the stock air box, and removed the restrictive top snorkle that led to the fender and noticed some improvement in responsiveness and possibly fuel mileage.

OOh now i feel like an idiot, i thought these were like one of these intake blowdrier electric superchargers. I think that this invention would be more of a restriction than a performance booster. They claim 1psi... what the hell good is 1 psi?
