rear gears?

i have an 05 silverado with L33 5.3L, how can i tell what the rear gears are? thanks!

The ratio should be on your invoice but there are codes in the glove box which indicate the original gearing. I forget the code but i am sure someone here will chime in.

My '05 Z71, L33 was 3.42...till i swapped out for 3.73.

Go back and ask them for a copy. They can give you all the info from the vin very easily.

GT4 is a 3.73

GT5 is a 4.10

GU5 is a 3.23

GU6 is a 3.42

 

Also, if you have a G80 thats a locking differential...its easy to find out if you have that w/o reading anything... *cough cough*
