tire sizes

Will 285-70-17 fit a 2006 GMC Sierra 4X4 Crew Cab. Replacing the 265-70-17.

Question about the tire size change?

 

1) Did it change you MPG

2) Did it change power feel

3) Did it mess up the 4wd auto which is based on tire rotation speed which is changed by larger tires

1) probably went down 1mpg or so (according to the DIC), but I have not recalibrated to the new size so I don't really know if it's actually gone down

 

2) not that i can tell

 

3) nope

 

the main difference i've noticed other than the positives (better ride, better stance, better handling) is that it feels heavier when braking.
