T-bars adjustment, drive side bottom out?!

i bought my 00 gmc 2500 4x4 used and i noticed that the control arms were sitting on the bump stops. I took some measurements and then adjusted my torsion bars. This rasied the truck about 3/4" and made it ride so much nicer. The other day i checked the measurements again and the driver side was about 1/4" lower than the passager side. I was going to give the drivers side t-bar a crank but the bolt seems to be bottom out. The first time i adjusted them i drove it and adjusted until they were even. Do the t-bars ever go bad? I did a search and read about the green keys but should i be replacing my torsion bars? My passanger side bar still has a lot of adjustment left so i woundering if the driver side is bad?

I suppose it's possible that your Tbars are getting a little soft. They make several different Tbars and you could always go up in weight rating if you wanted...

 

These trucks all seem to sit a litlle lower on the drivers side because of the weight of the driver and the fuel tank all being on the same side.

 

Did you measure from the frame rails or the fender well? The best way to measure is from the frame, because you'd be surprised at how far off the sheet metal can be from one side to the other.

 

Replacing the keys would be the cheapest way to get more adjustment out of your current bars.

Recomend going up to a higher torque rated torsion bar it will last longer and only run about 150$ and new keys about 60$ so 250$ to lift you front end and last almost for ever (If you buy higher rating torsion bars)
