I was having some tranny issues when shifting from 1st to 2nd. The slide-bump situation. I went to a well respected tranny shop that I trust and we did a pressure test. My truck was dropping pressure right as it was shifting to 2nd gear. This drop caused the tranny to slide and then pressure would build again causing it to bump hard into second. This only happened at WOT.

 

We put a transgo kit and corvette servo into it this week and I am happy as a fly on poop.

 

The truck feels stock under normal acceleration, the shifts are quick and firm, but not too strong. When I get on it hard, the truck pulls like a champ. The shifts under WOT are fast and really firm, but they don't make you feel like you need to visit the chiropractor. No more slide-bump.

there is also a upgraded pump that adds more vanes for increased pressure.

I had the whole thing done for $400.

 

The Transgo Kit is about $90, Servo is about $25, plus the new filter and ATF fluid left about $240 in labor. I debated a long time about putting the shift kit in myself. The transgo kit has great instructions.

 

I ended up having the trans shop do it because, its cold and I have no heated workshop, my truck is my daily driver, and I wanted the warranty...
