power window reulator

i just installed a drivers side window regulator and found that when i was finished the window switch is working opposite of the proper way. down is up and up is down

has anyone ever come across this before ? any help would be appreciated. tia, tj

sounds like you somehow managed to plug the connector into the motor backwards

I agree, the connector could have been attached backwards. Some things polarity matters.

Particularly on the window regulators because it reverses polatiry to run the motor backwards to close and forwards to open.

Isnt the window pulled up by a cable? If so it might be wound up wrong.
