Power door lock accuator

A very anoying and loud buzzing noise is coming from the front passenger door lock on my Yukon XL. Some internet research lead me to believe it is a broken lock accuator so I open up the door and sure enough that is where the noise is coming from. The lock still operates but I ordered a new accuator after double checking with my dealer on part number. The part shipped looks different from the factory part but matches what the dealer has in stock (part number). I'm not even sure that is a problem, but biggest problem seems to be getting to the part itself - can this be done with ordinary tools? Or, is this a job for the pros? Parts and labor this could run about $300 in my area.

 

Any suggestions on how to get this fixed without going broke?
