antenna for radio in 02 silverado

Ok I dont have an external antenna on my truck. (I'm taking it they arent made like that on this model). I can't hardly catch any radio station. The antenna is hooked to the radio and all. Where is the thing located at. maybe some foil or something will help or I mite just replace it.

I too have an '02 and had a problem with my antenna where the threads were stripped on the base of the mount. It is located on the passenger side between the hood and the windshield, under the black plastic cowling. It was a pain trying to find where the cable passed through the firewall, so I just ended up pulling the old and new mount off the cables and attaching the new base to the cable already there. Make sure you check that the threads aren't stripped before you buy a new antenna (without the base, as I believe they're sold separate).
