Fuel gauge question???

Allright You all helped me when my crankshaft sensor went out maybe I can get lucky a second time.

 

My gas gauge reads fine most of the time, but evey once in a while it will go to empty and the light will come on (low fuel). Then it will go back to reading normal after a minute or two. Could this be a defective fuel sending unit or wiring ??????????????????????

Thanks I also found the way to check past posts

 

and there were other posts that said the same thing

 

I thought it might be the sending unit but just wanted other thoughts
