1999 GMC 2500 6.0 4x4

I am looking at buying a 1999 GMC 2500 6.0L 4x4, what would be a good way to level it? Would i want to use the Green keys that i hear a lot of people talking about? And what tire size could i go to? 285/75/16? or should i just do 265/75/16? Are there problems with wear on the 285's on stock rims?

Thanks for the help!

P.S.

looks like i am a new found GM truck fan, i think i'm trading my F-250 for the above truck if the deal is right!!

There is a good possibility that the keys are different between the 1500 and 2500 trucks. I'd make sure the ford keys will work for you before buying them.

From what i have read, i think the GREEN keys are the ones i should get, but i would like some confirmation on this.

Okay, yeah the ford keys are commonly used on half tons. I believe they will work on 2500s but are not recommended. The half-ton chevy key or "green key" is what you should use.

GM part number: 15592573

I got all this info here:

There's also instructions with pictures of how to install. Good site to check out.
