Hey guys, I know the GM-Tech is off (Hope your feeling better everyday), I have a 2000 GMC Yukon with 5.3 2WD. I have an Equus Innova 3100 Scanner. I had my SES light come on and I plugged in my handy scanner and it gives me a ErPr code (no power I guess). I checked the fuses and none seemed to be blown (dash and under the hood). I put new batteries in the scanner and it does the same thing. I read in the manual that there should be power to the DLC plug. I am not sure which pin to check as I do not want to mess anything up. I bought the tool at Midway tools and asked for a return as the scanner may be broke. I used it twice before and it worked great.

Thanks in advance for any help. I would like to see what codes are being thrown and get my Yukon fixed.

FYI OBD Port power comes from the lighter circit. Plug in any high draw accessories latley?

No I haven't actually, but I will recheck the fuses for the cig lighter, I have 2 other ports for power next to it and check the wires there. I have the fold down drink holder may have clipped a wire or something.

Thanks for the information. I also have an email to send back the scanner in case the cable is messed up. I noticed that some of the pins don't stick out as far as others.

Thanks again.

BuilderPaul & 90GMCZ71,

Thanks for the headsup :D . I went and took my handy Fluke meter with open diode tester and checked the fuses, starting with the "Cigar" fuse under the hood (no beep :D ), wouldn't you know it, it was popped. Replaced and scanner worked great. Got the dreaded P1416 code, replacing the check valves on the secondary air system next pay check. I did find two cig lighters in the ports, I suspect both were activated, thus popping the fuse :D 5 kids in the house I suspect other things break and "not me" and "ida know" did it :bs:

Now I dont have the dreaded yellow glow animating from my dash of my

Thanks for the reply guys. I posted in 4 different forums, no luck except you all. This is a nice forum.
