03 YUKON XL NAV INSTALL

Removed my old 6-disk changer radio and non Class 2 data bus amp for the Bose system out of a 03 Yukon XL ¾ with quadsteer. Then I installed nav radio Part # 15204335 and Y91 amp Part # 15188044 and also tried amp Part #15199884 rewired per the wiring schematics and took it to the dealer to unlock the vin. We were able to unlock the vin and fire up the nav radio. The procedures I received with the radio in the wiring diagrams said to reprogram the amp. So we reprogram the amp and nothing happened. The radio fires up and the nav functions work. The mem 1&2 buttons on the door change the display and mem functions of the radio. The radio picks up FM and AM stations but no volume. The amp is warm so I know it is getting power. The Tech 2 indicates I have a Class 2 data problem. The Tech 2 was able to read all of the modules in the system including the amp and XM receiver. The nav radio does not recognize the XM module the steering wheel controls or the amp.

 

There is a bulletin No: 02-06-44-020B Dated March 03 that states I should check the software in the radio but the tech told me that the nav radio was not programmable And the amp is not one of the replaceable amps in the bulletin.

 

The tech said the Class 2 data bus talks to all the modules in a different frequency and that is how it talks to all the modules on one wire. The nav radio is not talking to the amp, XM module, or the steering wheel controls. We though it was the amp so we tried another amp with the same results. We even reprogram the Body Control Module (BCM) and that did not help. Does anybody have any suggestions?
