Aftermarket cruise control

Just got a killer deal on a 2001 8.1 l CC LB sierra sl w low miles. I can live without power windows and locks, but would really like cruise if its possible without costing an arm and a leg. What are my options? Thx in advance

I have the same question. I got a killer deal on a very plain jane 05 Cavalier. I can live without most of the extras but really need cruise control, really helps me keep my speed down. I know this is a truck post, sorry, but this is the same subject. My car also is a manual.

 

Any ideas? I'm going to try googling it.

i just bought a wrecked 01 hd2500 8.1, get smart on this, I think if you get the combinatin switch and wiring that goes to the computer and fuse box, that since the throttle is electronic, that it should work, but heck, I am not an expert by any means, but I do have everything you could need to put it on your truck as though it was original, just get a parts list. It is going to be a little while before I can get all of it to you, I need to disassemble the stuff I need from the truck and I dont want to just start hacking away at anything, as i dont want to cut something i or someone else can use. Let me know if you need it or want the parts you need.
