Hi fellas!

My GOD!  Big time difference!!

Cant drive too far for about 500 miles till they set in.

Peace!

My, oh my, outstanding ... what did that set you back, and what is your new effective gear ratio with those monster boots.

Havnt figured it out yet Jack.

But since my tires are only 34.6", i know im better than i was stock.

It feels great!

As for price, if anyone remembers my little incident with the shoddy install of my lift, you know i got a discount.

My total was $940

I saved $660.14 :)

Just curious, why is gear work so expensive?  I've never priced gears, but is it the price of the gears, or is there a lot of labor charges?

Those 4.56 gears should put you right in the sweet spot!!!  That would probably be as good or better than 4.10's with stock rubber!!!

Enjoy!!!

Thats my guess, Henry, you should really wail .... wonder what they would do for me :)

I have seen this truck and it is AWESOME, now fast

gandolphxx,  I'm thinking even 4.10's would put alot of spunk in your beast!!!  That's a heavy truck, and the object is to get it moving off the line and then let the "whipple" take over!!!  Once that baby kicks in, you're along for the ride!!!  LOL

The 4.10's in your truck would allow great highway cruising with little or no lack of mpg's and would provide a better launch from a dead or rolling stop...

In general, you're looking at 400-500 rpm difference at highway speeds, going from 3.73 to 4.10's (on a stock truck).

I know, I keep telling myself to not think about it ... got to get the intercooler and chip in this month.

If I was to do it it would also be the Auburn Pro Series Diff also, I have heard good things about them, also worried about the torque that I am developing.  :)

Hey Tom,

The gears cost me next to nothing. $77.00 Front/$46.00 Rear

The labor is intensive, especially since they had to remove my front lift to get to my front diff.

If i woulda had them installed WITH my lift, i woulda saved more.

Im not complaining, i got a great deal

Labor is $66/hour just about anywhere you go, thats why its so much, but i got half off of that too.

Jack,

I do believe 4.10 would do you some good. 4.56's would be a bigger difference, but that may be over-kill for you.

Only reason i did 4.56's in addition to the fact that my 3.73's werent cutting it with the 35" tires,is that when im bogging down in mud or sand ill be glad i have them.

If you just want that extra oomph, 4.10's would be great with your stock wheels and tires!!

I see.  After thinking about it, the front would involve quite a bit of work.  Thanks.  :)

Yeah, 4.10's would be my choice, besides it would keep the engine out of the damn 1800 resonance zone. :sarcasm:
