just put my tune in and was wondering if you guys that have one could tell me if you noticed anything improve after putting on a few miles and getting the crank re-learn done, compared to when you first put it in and went for a test drive. so far i am not really impressed, kind of pissed actually, my truck has had a trans-go shift kit in it since new and it would always chirp the tires on the 1-2 shift and sometimes on the 2-3 shift, now with the tune in it wont get rubber on the 1-2 shift let alone the 2-3 shift. throttle response may be slightly improved, but i cant believe this thing is right, with all of the tm supposedly removed i would think i would notice a perfomace increase off the line and the shifts should be even stronger if im getting more hp/tq to the wheels. maybe i expected too much, but i am deffinately not happy with how my tranny shifts now and i even told jesse he could firm it up a little more. ive been driving it like a rental car hoping it will come to life and ill get the relearn done on monday, if nothing changes after that its going backfor sure.

now im kind of worried about having the crank re-learn done, the service dept at my dealer doesnt seem to know what im talking about and said it was $80 bucks to do a computer flash and he didnt know if it would change anything else. i told him i had a perfomance tuned pcm and just needed a crank sensor re-learn procedure done and he said he may not be able to do anything with a aftermarket tune, WTF ? what did you guys tell the service dept when you had yours done ?

I just installed my 'tuned' PCM on Thursday night. I went to a local garage and they did the 'crank sensor re-learn' in about 5 minutes.

But like you, so far, I'm not happy with it at all.

To be honest, I don't notice any difference at all. But it's been raining since I put it in so I'm holding my judgement until the roads are dry and I can really test out the truck. :chevy:

I had the local GM dealer do a re-learn for me, and they didn't even charge me for it. It literally takes less than five minutes to do. Do not let them reflash your pcm. I just told the dealer that I had a new pcm put in and I needed a crank position relearn to get rid of the SES light.

As for the tune...I got one for 89 octane and noticed a difference immediately. The only other performance mods I have are intake and exhaust. I can usually chirp the tires in 2nd if I try hard enough. I'd drive it for about 250-300 miles, and then send it back if nothing changes.

Rained all weekend so really couldn't test out the truck on dry pavement.

I have noticed that the truck revs a little less at 60mph. That'll be good for gas mileage.

As per performance increase, haven't noticed any at all. Truck is still slugish in 2nd gear. :chevy:
