2 in drop shackles

I ordered the 2in drop shackles off ebay for my 05 silverado, I was just wondering if there was anything else involved other then just bolting them on, thanks in advance.

It is really simple. If you have a tow hitch, you will have to remove it to remove the shackle bolts. If you place the frame of the truck on jackstands, you can use a floor jack on the differential to move the axel to position it. I did one wheel at a time for stability.

I threw on some DJM drop shackles and replaced the stock shocks with a couple toxic shocks. I'll put a pic up soon, it looks great without that stupid "rake' look.

Shackles are all you need. You will want to grease the bushing if they are polyurethane. Loosen the front spring bolts and leave the back 4 bolts loose, put the truck on the ground and bounce on the back bumper. That will let the bushings settle into a untensioned position. Then tighten all of them. This prevents sweaks too.

Good Luck!
