i'm thinking about getting option package A but I remember hearing in the past if you use a programmer you need to run higher octane fuel, is that true?

Alright, guess I can forget about that then. Yeah I know the throttle body spacer is pretty useless, I used to have a trail-built 1992 Jeep Wrangler 4.0 that had one and it didn't impress me, the whole package seemed like a good deal just for the programmer and the FIPK and the spacer would just be an added bonus.
