Here's a question for the older guys

I'm thinking about bucking the trend of stroking for more cubes and building a 327 to replace the 350, you know less thirsty cubes to feed. I don't know anybody who actually drove the old 327 when it was factory in trucks- I probably will lose some torque gain some rpm's. I don't know if they share the bore and stroke of the 5.3's, will vortec heads fit the old block? Plan to TPI it.

Not to burst your bubble but a TPI system is a very costly system....and why would you want to put it in a truck aunless it was for show?

Besides the 5.3 is a 323 block that's about as good as it gets when it comes to MPG
