Swapping Tires

I plan to stay with the same size 265/75/16s. But what I want to to is run the stock rim and tire in the winter months and the custom rim and BFG's in the Summer months. Will this cause a problem down the road or doesn't it really matter if I swap the tires and rims as long as they are balanced correctly and stay the same size?

That shouldn't cause any problems at all!!!  Just remember to torque your lug nuts properly when you swap out your wheels and tires and check the air pressure because the tires will leak down a little when in storage.

 

In fact what you are doing is much better than than mounting and unmounting tires twice a year.
