If you have a prick for a dealer they could do it when you take it in for service as it is a modification.

It depends. I'm pretty sure the law states the can't void your wtty unless the modification is responsible for the failure.

 

So if your bumper falls off they can't deny your wtty because you installed a K&N. However, if your motor fails, they *could* put up a stink, but that's why I keep the stock intake in my basement... just in case ;)
