Clunk/knock 06 2500hd

I have a 06 2500hd 6.0 auto with 2700km. I assume I have a common issue on searching these forums. I have a sound best descibed as a clunk/and or knock coming through the steering column. On slow turns or going over small bumps it it is more noticable. It doesn't have any type of rythum or relevant to engine speed. Any guesses? Its going into the dealer on wednesday. I also cranked the t-bas 4 turns I doubt that has anything to do with it tho.

Sounds like the very common intermediate steering shaft issue. Alot of these rigs seem to have a problem with it. Not a real mechanical problem as much as it is annoying...mine does it and I just don't even worry about it anymore. All the dealership will do it re-lube it, but it will return a couple thousand miles later. Enjoy your new rig.

Kinda annoying?

It agrevates the piss outta' me that GM won't fix that or their crappy 4 wheel disc brakes on my 04' Sierra.
