Wierd Symtoms and CND

Hey guys....

 

I got in my truck about a week ago and fired it up...it fired turned and then died. So i thought just a glitch no big deal. Well so i took the key out, put it back in and started it up. It started up and just as i was pulling out of the driveway the ABS, Check Engine, Four Wheel Drive, Security and just about every other alarm light went off....well as you can imagine i was like HOLLY SHI#. So i stopped right away turned the truck off got out, locked it, and then unlocked it got back in and started it again and it has not happen since and NONE of the lights ever came back on?>?>?>?

 

Anyways i work(ed) at a GM dealership as a summer job, but i leave for maine next week. So i stopped working up there last friday. Anyways, before i left i had a guy take a Tech II out to the truck and run for codes. Well he got a bunch and i have them written down. He basically said that it is the "Theft Deterent System" that is causing the issues. He says it is nothing that needs to be done right away especially because i am out of warranty. However, it is just something that needs to be taken care of.

 

Therefore, i was hoping that anyone on here that has ever had this or similar could offer any other background on the issue. Also I would love to know how much this system is to fix? and where the heck is it?

check your battery for acid leaking out of the positive terminal. or if it has been replaced make sure the cables are tight against the terminal.

Does anyone have any info on the location of the Theft Detterent System?
