Have you had anyone bend valves on 2.2 4 cyl when the timing chain breaks? My daughters truck broke a timing chain and now it has a miss in it.

Ive heard of it. The timing chain tensioner is weak on that motor, causing the chain to slap the side of the guard, eventually breaking. A bit of a defect, i believe. Happened to me, but didnt get bent valves...i had the chain replaced before it snapped.

 

However, i have heard about bent valves when the chain breaks.
